ABM are delighted to announce the successful completion and handover of the Malahide Portmarnock Educate Together Secondary School. This project was completed under the Department of Education and Skills - Design and Build Schools Framework 1 – Lot 1 (2020 – 2021).
The project consisted of the design & build of a new three storey 1000 pupil post primary school building, 2 no. class ASD Unit, PE Hall, associated car parking, access road and associated storage and auxiliary buildings. The provision of the 10 no. prefabricated school classrooms, temporary staff parking and disabled access parking for the duration of the school construction.
The site works to the school grounds consisted of construction of the provision of external ball courts, landscaping, connection to public services and all associated site works. The school site is a circa 2.86 Hectare site located at Lands adjacent to Feltrim Road, Drinan, Swords, Co. Dublin. The site entrance is via the existing Fingal County Council car park at the Riasc Centre, Feltrim Road, Drinan, Swords, Co. Dublin.
The project was let on a design and build basis and ABM’s role was as Main Contractor and Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS).
