ABM are delighted to announce the recent delivery and hand over of 40 no social dwellings on a site located 1.5 km from Wicklow Town under the Accelerated Build Social Housing programme for Wicklow County Council.
The housing development comprises of quality living accommodation for families in the form of three-bedroom, five-person, two storey terraced houses; two-bedroom, four-person, two storey terraced houses; and one bedroom, two-person one storey houses, which sit comfortably in context with the surrounding environment.
The accelerated build method consisted of a structural frame comprising panelised light gauge steel frames (LGSF) with integrated insulated wall panels built off site and delivered flat packed to the site for completion and delivery in a very short time period.
In addition, the housing has achieved an BER A2 rating using triple glazed, low conductivity, well insulated windows and door, air-tight membranes and are built to a very high standard, meeting the requirements of Wicklow County Council.
