ABM’s staff attended our Annual Core Values Day on March 5th at the Clayton Hotel, Dublin Airport. The event, led by ABM General Manager Philip Weinmann, featured a series of workshops and roundtable discussions focused on reinforcing our commitment to safety and core values across the organisation. A key highlight was fostering a culture that prioritises our four Core Values; Build Safety, Build Quality, Build Together and Build for the Future in everything we do.
Gerry Duffy, an internationally recognised speaker on corporate performance, leadership, strategy, goal setting, and time management, led an engaging workshop on our core values. His insights provided the ABM team with valuable strategies for further embedding our core values into the organisation, with a particular focus on improving safety operations.
The day also featured contributions from several key ABM team members. Tim Lennon introduced our ‘Build Safety’ protocols, followed by presentations from our Health & Safety team - Andrew O’Brien, Padraig O’Flynn and Shane Ruane, who spoke on the importance of safety-first practices. Robert Fraser then guided us through our ‘Build Quality’ protocols, with Michael Crowley and Con Ross from our Quality Team explaining how we can elevate our quality practices and future initiatives.
The session on ‘Building for the Future,’ led by Philip Weinmann, explored the importance of sustainability and Green Procurement, with Tom Dunne sharing insights on the topic, and Michael Payne presenting on the significance of document naming conventions and the introduction of BIM ISO 9650.
The day concluded with an inspiring talk from Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan, an author, lecturer, and psychologist, who shared her incredible journey of overcoming adversity to earn a PhD from Trinity College.
