Project Details:

The Modular Buildings were delivered as a turnkey solution, including fit out and M&E, Kitchen, Canteen, Locker Room and WC’s were all fitted out to DAA Approval.

  • All flooring is a PVC safety floor with R 12 slip resistance with welded covings.
  • Specific requirements for the glazing and glazed doors (8mm Safety glass) specificied for blast and wind loadings.
  • Roof – Single skin plastisol coated roof profile sheeting fixed to galvanized steel purlins set to achieve roof falls fixed to steelwork frames.
  • Gutters- formed in galvanized pressed metal to falls with integrated outlets discharging into HDPE downpipes supported and located within the canopy supporting columns.
  • Fall arrest system installed to canopy roof to allow access to all gutters for maintenance- Access to canopy from Gate Post roof.
  • Canopy type lighting – Layout of lights was arranged in rows over aisles outside of the truck body to minimise shadows caused by vehicles.
  • All areas vulnerable to impact from oncoming traffic eg: automatic boom gates on inbound and exit lanes, external ASU inspection booth between lanes 2 and 3 etc were protected with bollards.

Pelletstown Educate Together National School

Project Details:

The contract was awarded and works early July 2021 on site. The project was programmed to be completed in 88 weeks. Pelletstown ETNS was built using a Precast Concrete frame. The project was split into three phases. Phase 1 included a two story 8 classroom teaching building with roof top play area a GP hall and link corridor joining GP Hall to the teaching block. Phase 2 was the remainder of the main teaching building a 3 story, 8 classrooms with 2 classroom SNU on the ground floor. Phase 3 consisted of the completion of the external areas including ball court, bicycle parking, car parking etc.

Project Details:

The responsibilities of ABM in delivering the project were: Contractors Representative; Design and Construction Team Leader; to manage the design team members in the development and co-ordination of rapid build construction techniques and to ensure that the relevant information was available to achieve both the rapid start on site and to adhere to the fast track programme; sanctioning of all design decisions to ensure they meet all solutions which would achieve the targeted rapid build programme.
