Gaelscoil Dara National School
The project consisted of the design and construction of a 16 no. classroom National School Building comprising an integrated general purpose room, associated ancillary accommodation, associated site works and the provision of two new general ball courts and one new junior play court along with ancillary accommodation.
External works included car parking (32 cars), access road and turning circle, 2 no. ball courts, junior ball court, school garden and general landscaping. The site is located a short distance off the Ballyloughaun road and opposite GMIT.
The programme planned a fast-track on-site construction duration of 26 weeks for this 16 classroom national school constructed on a green field site (area of .958 Ha).
This project was awarded under the Department of Education Rapid Build Schools Programme.
