ABM Design and Build Ltd held their Annual Company Safety Day on the 3rd of March last at the Grand Hotel, Malahide.
The event hosted by Philip Weinmann, ABM General Manager comprised of a number of workshops and round table discussions on the importance of safety principles and operations throughout the organisation, to include adopting best practice of Safety First within the culture of our organisation.
Keynote Speaker on the day was Gerry Duffy who is an international speaker in the area of Corporate Performance with particular focus on Effective Leadership and Strategy, Goal Setting and Time Effectiveness.
Gerry’s motivational talk and workshop provided for a very engaging and interactive afternoon for all Staff participating in a number of activities, leaving the team with great food for thought on how to bring forward improvements in Safety Standards across the organisation and implementation of best practice in our day-to-day safety operations.
Other speakers on the day included Ian Hayden, ABM Health and Safety Manager, Shane Ruane, ABM Health and Safety Adviser and Patrick Cronin, Ayrton Group who all gave excellent presentations on key safety topics such as control of risks and hazard avoidance.
Concluding remarks were given by Robert Fraser, ABM Head of Construction and Tim Lennon, Senior Contracts Manager who summarised the key learnings and important takeaways from the day.
On behalf of Pat O’Neill, ABM Company Director we would like to thank all Guest Speakers and Staff who attended on the day from head office and all our sites from Cork to Dublin, for their excellent participation and engagement throughout the day.
