ABM Group celebrated a quarter of a century in Business on the Friday night the 7th of February at an event in the Gravity Bar in the Guinness Store House, Dublin.
Company Directors Pat O’Neill, Sean Minihane and Brendan O’Neill were joined on the night by a myriad of valued clients past and present from Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe along with ABM staff from our offices around the globe. The night was a nostalgic reflection on the portfolio of achievements ABM has built up in both the construction and civil engineering industry over the last 25 Years.
On the night the three Directors spoke and reflected on the good times and more challenging times over the last 25 years. From starting out in our first modest premises, effectively a shed in East Wall to the company’s first major milestone which came in the late 90's with a £1 million contract to construct the freight terminal for Irish Ferries in Dublin port. This was a hugely significant project for ABM as it gave the company a track record of credibility and scale.
Other milestones included the 300,000 sq. ft. design and build project for Geodis at IBM, important infrastructure projects at Dublin Airport and establishing a strong record for delivering schools through D&B Frameworks with the DoES.
Going onto survive the recession ABM has built an exceptional team that’s now over 150 employees strong. Today, the ABM Group is comprised of ABM Design & Build, ABM Precast Solutions, ABM Mosty and EMJ Plastics.
ABM Group is now a strong brand that is recognised and trusted nationally and abroad. Sean, Pat and Brendan put their success down to the right mix of ambition, pride in doing a good job, an ability to bring like-minded people together and most importantly trust. We would like to thank everyone who took the time out to join us on the night and celebrate the occasion with a pint of Arthur’s famous stout. ABM Group looks forward to building a bright future for the next 25 Years!
